Indian Cuisine Stall (Halal / Non Halal) (Secondary School)
The School invites interested and suitably qualified vendors to apply for the operation of an Indian Cuisine stall in our secondary school canteen.
Preferred Cuisine
Indian Cuisine (North and/or South Indian)
Both Vegetarian and Non-Vegetarian options are required.
Vendors are encouraged to offer a variety of balanced meal sets suitable for teenagers, taking into consideration portion adequacy, nutrition, and affordability.
Scope of Service
The appointed vendor will be required to:

Provide daily balanced set meals in accordance with the MOE Healthy Meals in Schools Programme (HMSP) guidelines
-
Offer wholegrain options such as brown rice and whole meal products
-
Include a minimum of two servings of vegetables per meal
-
Provide fresh fruit daily as part of set meals
-
Encouraged to use healthier cooking methods (e.g. steaming, baking, grilling, stewing; no deep-fried main dishes)
-
Ensure food is prepared with reduced oil, sugar, and sodium
-
Maintain student-friendly pricing appropriate for secondary school students
Operational Expectations (Secondary School Context)
The vendor must:

Operate during recess, lunch periods and till 3.30pm on school CCA Days
-
Be able to manage higher volume demand during peak times
-
Ensure efficient service to minimise waiting time
-
Maintain consistent food quality and portion control
-
Be prepared to adjust menu offerings based on student feedback (with school approval)
Eligibility Criteria
-
Stallholder(s) and assistant(s) who are Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents, aged 21 years old and above.

Hold or be eligible to obtain a valid SFA Food Shop Licence
-
Ensure all food handlers possess valid Food Safety Certification
-
Both applicant and stall assistant/s must register and pass the WSQ Food safety course Level 1 conducted by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) accredited training providers.

Successful applicant will need to apply for a food stall license from Singapore Food Agency (SFA).

Applicant must be in personal attendance at the stall during canteen operating hours.

Able to comply with the latest Healthy Meals in Schools Programme (HMSP) guidelines. For more details please refer to HPB's website.

Have relevant experience in food stall or catering operations (preferred)

Demonstrate commitment to hygiene, punctuality, and reliability
Evaluation Criteria
Applications will be assessed based on:

Compliance with HMSP nutritional guidelines

Menu variety and suitability for teenagers

Pricing and affordability
-
Vendor experience and track record
-
Food tasting (if shortlisted)

Interview performance
The School reserves the right to reject any application without assigning any reason.
